Hello, I'm Ayesha
It started with a pair of scissors and a teenager who wouldn't quit.
I was sixteen years old when I first picked up a comb in a salon. Not as a stylist, as the girl who swept floors, shampooed clients, and watched everything from the corner. I studied every hand movement. I memorized every technique. And I knew, before I could articulate it, that this was my calling.
By twenty, I was booked solid. Over the next two and a half decades, I worked through every role this industry offers — assistant, colorist, educator, salon owner. I built a clientele that trusted me with their most personal possession: the crown on their heads. I studied the science of hair when most stylists stopped at the style. I learned Wella color chemistry, protein and moisture balance, scalp health, traction prevention, the things that separate someone who does hair from someone who understands it.
Then I retired. I was tired. I needed rest. And I thought my chapter behind the chair was finished.
I was wrong. Purpose doesn't retire.
Xoxo, Ayesha

My Journey
Milestones Along The Way
Started in a salon — sweeping floors, shampooing, watching, learning. Knew immediately this was the path.
Worked through every role: assistant, junior stylist, colorist. Built a loyal clientele through skill and trust.
Became a salon educator and owner. Studied advanced color chemistry, scalp health, and trichology. Began mentoring younger stylists.
Founded the Love & Warmth Foundation after learning that children in the DC area were going to school without coats. First coat drive launched from her salon.
Stepped away from the chair after 25+ years. Needed rest. Thought the chapter was closed.
Came back with a new vision: a private luxury suite, an education practice for stylists, and a foundation now serving hundreds of families. Suite 28 at Sola Salon opens.
